Company International Health Insurance plans
Bupa International's Company Plan is ideal for globally- mobile employees or for companies with employees working in countries with low- quality or no healthcare provision.
Bupa International provides cover for many different types of companies, from major airlines to oil exploration, banks and other financial institutions, to schools and colleges around the world.
Bupa International provides a special tailored account management service, which includes a dedicated account or a specialised team and offers a single point of contact for all queries.
Their CorporateWorld offers an online capability for administration of your company plan.
Your employees gain access to MembersWorld. This offers them a comprehensive library devoted to health issues, as well as access to their membership documents and the facility to track their claims. They also gain access to the 24 hour helpline, should they need any medical advice.

A minimum of 3 employees can qualify for a Company plan. Companies with more than 10 employees can also ask for the medical history of their employees to be disregarded (at an additional cost).
There are 4 company plans available:
Essential/ Classic/ Gold and Gold Superior.
Essential Company plan
The Company Essential health insurance plan includes key coverage to protect you and your employees from potentially significant in- patient costs such as surgery, diagnostic imaging and cancer treatment as well as out- patient surgical operations.
This cover focuses on providing medical insurance when you need it most, allowing you to manage everyday medical expenses yourself.
Key Essential features:
- coverage of out- patient surgical operations
- newborn care
- coverage of in- patient costs such as accommodation, diagnostic tests and nursing care
- optional evacuation and repatriation cover
- optional USA cover
- annual maximum coverage of $US 1,000,000

Classic Company plan
The Company Classic health insurance plan covers you and your employees for in- patient and day- case stays in hospital and in addition, includes coverage for out- patient care such as consultations, diagnostic tests, X- rays and treatment by therapists and complementary medical practitioners.
Key Classic features:
- coverage of out- patient treatment
- coverage of in- patient costs such as diagnostic tests, surgery, accommodation and nursing care
- maternity cover (after ten months' membership)
- optional evacuation and repatriation cover
- optional dental cover is available
- HIV/AIDS drug therapy (after five years' membership)
- annual maximum coverage of $US 1,500,000

Company Gold plan
Company Gold plan provides highly comprehensive benefits for in- patient treatment, out- patient treatment as well as covering the costs of day- to- day doctor visits and prescription medicine expenses.
Key Gold features:
- accident related dental treatment
- prescribed drugs and dressings cover
- family doctor treatment
- maternity cover (after ten months' membership)
- optional dental cover is available
- annual maximum coverage of $US 2,000,000

Gold Superior Company plan (NEW):
This is the most comprehensive level of cover. It provides everything you would receive at Gold level, plus:
Key Gold Superior features:
- overall annual maximum cover increased to $US 10,000,000
- a full health screening with various tests to assess your state of health, for example, tests for high cholesterol, high blood pressure or diabetes
- maternity benefits increased
- full refund of all fees for family doctors, out- patient drugs and dressings
- optional dental and optical cover is also available

Optional cover
USA cover
Bupa International offers optional cover for treatment in the USA- however, all cover levels come with emergency cover for 28 days a standard.
Optional Assistance cover for all levels
Depending on your company's circumstances and the locations where your employees live and work, you may wish to add the optional extras of evacuation or repatriation to your cover for added reassurance.
Evacuation
When treatment is unavailable locally, Bupa will arrange for your employee to be taken to the nearest medical facility equipped to deal with their condition, wherever they are in the world.
Repatriation
As well as providing evacuation cover, this option gives you the additional option of returning your staff to their home country for treatment, if the necessary medical treatment is not available locally.
Dental Cover
Optional dental cover can be taken out on all levels except Essential.
Please note that i have purposely not put the premiums / subscriptions in this web page, as they are subject to change and i would prefer to make sure i quote the correct premiums/ rates/ subscriptions should you be interested.
Deductibles: Certain levels of cover (Essential, Classic and Gold) offer the option to lower your premium by introducing a deductible (an excess) without affecting the cover provided. This means that in any year of cover, each employee covered would be responsible for paying the first part of their treatment up to a fixed amount. The levels of deductible are , in $US 200, $US 500, $US 1000, $US 2000.

What follows is more information on Bupa Internationals' plans for the Oil and Gas industry, Maritime and International schools.
Bupa International Oil and Gas industry cover.
For 3 or more employees who work overseas on oil rigs in the oil and gas industry.
Bupa International Maritime Cover.
If you are working in the maritime field, e.g. a crew on a yacht (minimum of 3 members).
International Schools Plan - Bupa International.
If you are a member of an accredited and recognised international schools council around the world, you could be eligible for this Bupa cover.
Benefits on offer include an up to 25% discount to normal lifeline policy rates and 60, rather than 30 days cover in the USA.
