Hello again everyone,
Before my next posting, let me wish you a Happy Easter long weekend and an enjoyable break.
I have received notification today that Momentum and Metropolitan are in the process of merging.
The legal agreements have been signed, but the transaction is still subject to the satisfactory completion of due diligence investigations as well as regulator and shareholder approvals.
The merger will create a leading financial services company based in South Africa. It will signifigantly expand both Momentum and Metropolitan’s product offerings, target markets and growth prospects.
Both the Centurion based (Momentum) and the Cape based (Metropolitan) offices will be kept.
It is expected that the final implementation will be set in a few months, both companies are operating on a business as usual premise.
