Up to 25% cash back on HealthyFood at Pick n Pay or Woolworths for Vitality members

From 1 January 2014, all Vitality members will have access to the Vitality HealthyFood benefit at Pick n Pay and Woolworths. Plus, DiscoveryCard holders will be able to get up to 25% cash back at both partners! Now, even more trolleys will be filled with HealthyFood.

How the Vitality HealthyFood benefit works

Activate the Vitality HealthyFood benefit
• Step 1: You, and your financial advisers and their clients with a Vitality policy must activate the benefit on www.discovery.co.za. Simply go to ‘Vitality’ > ‘HealthyFood’ and get up to 10% cash back at both Pick n Pay and Woolworths
• Step 2: Then choose your preferred HealthyFood partner and find out your Vitality Age to get up to 15% cash back. The main policyholder and spouse (if applicable) need to find out their Vitality Age every 12 months to increase the cash back or keep it at up to 15%
• Step 3: Complete a Vitality Health Check at an accredited pharmacy in the Vitality Wellness Network or at a Wellness Day, to get up to 25% cash back at the preferred partner and 10% cash back on HealthyFood at the other. The main policyholder and spouse (if applicable) need to complete a Vitality Health Check every 12 months to increase the cash back or keep it at up to 25%.

At Pick n Pay:
Once you, your advisers and clients have activated the Vitality HealthyFood benefit at Pick n Pay, we will post your Vitality Pick n Pay HealthyFood cards to you within three weeks (if you do not have a DiscoveryCard). Remember (and tell your advisers and clients) to swipe the Vitality Pick n Pay HealthyFood card at any Pick n Pay till before the cashier rings up your purchases to make sure you get the HealthyFood cash back.

Swipe your DiscoveryCard twice at Pick n Pay
If you, your advisers or their clients have a DiscoveryCard, you must swipe it twice at Pick n Pay – once before the cashier rings up the purchase and again to pay.

If you do not produce the Vitality Pick n Pay HealthyFood card or DiscoveryCard at the Pick n Pay till before the sale is processed, you will not get the HealthyFood cash back. You cannot claim afterwards for purchases.

smart shopper Multiplier for DiscoveryCard holders
DiscoveryCard holders who activated the Discovery Miles benefit for an annual fee, and linked the smart shopper Multiplier to their card, can multiply their Pick n Pay smart shopper points. We will multiply them by up to 10 times depending on the member’s Vitality status, to a maximum of 30% of their total DiscoveryCard spend. The total retail cash back you can get from shopping, and multiplying your smart shopper points, is limited to R2 000 a month. This benefit change will be live from 20 February 2014.

At Woolworths:
Once the HealthyFood benefit at Woolworths is activated, your Woolworths card will automatically be linked to the Vitality HealthyFood benefit. Tell your advisers and clients to swipe their linked Woolworths card at any Woolworths till before the cashier rings up their purchases to make sure they get their HealthyFood cash back. This includes the Woolworths WRewards card, MySchool, MyVillage or MyPlanet card.

If you have a MySchool card, you will need to give Woolworths permission to share your personal information before they activate the HealthyFood benefit. You can visit www.myschool.co.za/supporter/apply or apply for a Woolworths card in-store or www.woolworths.co.za. Don’t forget to share this link with your financial advisers and clients.
